Preamble:
This documentary is a working document of the Sawa people movement in the diaspora. It is a social and cultural association of like-minded people who have voluntarily decided to come together to socialize amongst themselves and by so doing, also promote the cultural heritage of the SAWA people of the coastal regions of Cameroon in West Africa.
We the people of Sawa are a dynamic, voluntarily active and lively mix of individuals who seek to consolidate our collective strengths as a people in socializing with each other, while at the same time also having constructive conversations about the customs and traditions of our common ancestry (the Douala people) and its offshoot ethnicities from Meme division in the southwest province of Cameroon passing through Fako division to Wouri division in the Littoral Province and to promote the same.
This is a cordial group of individuals, and we intend to respect every single member with a civility that is second to none. We would not take any offense at anyone for speaking their mind on any issue. Respect for one another will be primordial for us to continue to be the enviable social group in town as a family that loves each other and loves to socialize with one another.
